Year Zero is a quarterly publication focused on the intersection of moving images and radical politics.
Our contributors are encouraged to write about new films, old films, video installations, web art, GIFs, YouTube, and any other images that may agitate.
Our name stems from two great films: Roberto Rossellini’s Germany Year Zero (1945) and the Théâtre année zéro depicted in Jean-Luc Godard’s La chinoise (1967).
